📞Call Tracking

Go to Hyros dashboard → Call Tracking → Create New Pool. Choose your area code, add the pool script to your website's <head> section, and Hyros will automatically start assigning numbers from the pool to visitors.

Dynamic: Each visitor gets a unique tracking number from a pool. Best for online campaigns where you need individual attribution.

Static: One dedicated number for a specific campaign/channel (like a TV ad). Everyone sees the same number. Best for offline campaigns.

Use our pool size calculator. General rule: 2-3x your hourly call volume. For 100 calls/hour, we recommend 200-300 numbers.

Hyros will recycle the oldest assigned numbers, but you'll lose granular tracking for new visitors. This means multiple visitors might see the same number, reducing attribution accuracy. Always size your pool with a buffer for traffic spikes.

Numbers are released based on cookie expiration (typically 30 days) or when the visitor's session ends. Hyros automatically prioritizes recycling the oldest unused numbers first.

No. Each pool should be dedicated to one website/domain. If you need to track multiple sites, create separate pools for each. This ensures accurate attribution and prevents number conflicts.

🔧Tracking & Scripts

The hyros-dniclass tells Hyros which phone links to track for clicks. Without this class, Hyros won't register when someone taps/clicks the number. Always add it to your <a href="tel:..."> elements.

For dynamic pools: Only need the Pool Script (it includes tracking).

For static numbers: Only need the Universal Script.

Place the script in the <head> section of your HTML, before the closing </head> tag. For platforms like WordPress, use the "Header Scripts" section or a plugin like "Insert Headers and Footers".

📊Attribution & Reports

First Click LTV: Shows which ad/source started the customer journey. Gives 100% credit to the first touchpoint.

LTV for Sources: Shows total revenue across all touchpoints. One customer might be counted in multiple sources if they interacted with multiple ads.

Use cohort analysis to track time-based groups of leads. Perfect for:

  • Measuring before/after a strategy change
  • Finding break-even points by month
  • Identifying seasonal trends
  • Comparing lead quality over time

🔍Troubleshooting

Checklist:

  1. Verify the pool script is in the <head> section
  2. Check browser console for script errors
  3. Confirm the pool has available numbers
  4. Make sure your default number has the class/ID that Hyros replaces
  5. Clear cache and test in incognito mode

Common causes:

  • Phone link missing hyros-dni class
  • Call forwarding not configured correctly
  • Numbers assigned to wrong pool
  • Visitor called directly without clicking the link first
